The University of Pittsburgh, and the Department of Med-Pediatrics, is seeking a qualified Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will provide assistance to the Director of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, with community based research studies.
The primary focus of this position is database management and data analysis. Prior research experience is required with proficiency using SAS software. Additional tasks include supporting evaluation projects for community-based projects, data collection at community sites, data entry, and assistance with tracking participants for studies. Specifically, the research assistant (RA) could be responsible for collecting data at women's and adolescent health clinics and various other organizations that provide services for youth in PA.
Additional experience with ACASI, EndNote, Excel, MS Word, and Access, as well as experience conducting literature reviews, data entry, database development, and manipulation are desired. Candidate must be willing and able to drive to community sites. Experience working with community based organizations, including community health and knowledge of how to collect local data is of particular interest. Solid interpersonal communication skills, knowledge of women's health and adolescent health, and prior experience working in community-based and clinic based settings are a plus. Some travel will be required. Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 2 years of professional level research experience, desired experience with community settings.

Minimum 2 years of professional level research experience. Masters level training in biostatistics and/or epidemiology is preferred. Desired experience with youths in a community setting. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
