Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Physician Assistant-Affil.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for provision, coordination and assurance of comprehensive medical care using sound medical knowledge and pertinent standards of care, performance of therapeutic, corrective, and prescriptive measures on the designated inpatient or outpatient population, assume derogatory responsibilities assigned by supervising physician privileged as Medical Staff of NYULH
Complete all related duties as assigned.
Performs delegated clinical duties effectively and efficiently
Practices within the scope of practice of supervising physician
Responsible for complying with all contractual obligations under the NYU Medical Center Affiliation Contract with Bellevue Hospital Center and all other related duties as assigned
Works collaboratively with the attending physician, consulting physician(s), and other disciplines to identify, develop, and implement an appropriate plan of care that maximizes individual patient/family preference and enhances quality, access, and cost-effective outcomes
Attend clinical rounds with attending on a daily basis
Take new admissions and discuss all new admissions and challenging coverage issues with attending;
Provision of clinical care for patients on the Physician Assistant Service of the General Internal Medicine Service at Bellevue Hospital with an attending physician
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications: Licensure: Current New York State Physician Assistant License Education: Physician Assistant Bachelors Degree (BA-PA)Certifications: NCCPA Board Certification ACLS, PALS, NRP Provider (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), NALS per delineation of privileges..
Required Licenses: Physician Assistant Lic-NYS
Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills are essential. Language proficiency, particularly Spanish or Mandarin/Cantonese is a strong plus.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
